WELCOME TO THE PARTY

Adweek published an article this week (pictured above) that suggests it’s time for agencies to have a direct line to their clients’ CEOs.

Welcome to the party.

Seven years ago, we launched Rung-UP as the first C2C model. That’s C-level agency executives working directly with C-level client executives. In this fast moving world, there is no time to waste on excessive deliberations, unnecessary meetings, and superfluous paperwork. Nor should successful agencies have the patience for middle management mediocrity. So in 2016, we launched Rung-UP to move fast and FIX things.

We’re glad that other agencies now want to join the party by having direct relationships with their clients’ CEOs, but there’s one big problem. Most agencies will have some level of middle management talking to their clients’ CEOs. That doesn’t work. In our experience, client CEOs are best served directly by the agency CEO that understands the mechanics of running an organization, not just the strategic imperatives to move a business forward. Knowing what to do and having the ability to get it done are two very different skill sets.

At Rung-UP, our model is to take on only a select group of clients and have our C-level executives partner with their C-level executives to deliver transformational results. That’s our party line.

Lawrence M. Kimmel is CEO of Rung-UP, the only agency custom-built for C-Level executives at mid-sized organizations. He can be reached at Hi@Rung-UP.com.
